🇬🇧 On Tenerife there is a ship that offers a #barrier-free whale / dolphin watching tour, namely the #Shogun ^^ What do I mean by barrier-free? Among other things, that you can get on the ship with a wheelchair and that there is a reasonably accessible toilet!

🇬🇧 While my parents took the cable car up to the #Teide, I made myself comfortable in the small cafeteria and directly discovered a #Speciality of Tenerife - Canarian potatoes, also known as Papas Arrugadas meaning "wrinkled potato". Traditionally, the potatoes are boiled in seawater and then served with a sauce (mojo verde/mojo rojo). Who of you has ever tried these #potatoes?^^

🇩🇪 Während meine Eltern mit der Seilbahn hoch zum #Teide gefahren sind, hab ich es mir in der kleinen Cafeteria gemütlich gemacht und direkt mal eine #Spezialität Teneriffas entdeckt - kanarische Kartoffeln, auch bekannt als Papas Arrugadas zu deutsch „runzlige Kartoffel“. Traditionell werden die Kartoffeln in Meerwasser gekocht und anschließend mit einer Soße (mojo verde/mojo rojo) serviert. Wer von euch hat schon einmal diese #Kartoffeln probiert?^^

🇬🇧 If you want to go really high up on the Teide, you can do this with the #cable car! However, people with #disabilities and also the elderly are not allowed to ride the cable car. But this is simply because in the event of failure, everyone present will have to hike / climb down the hill. Makes sense, cause safety first right? 😅

🇩🇪 Wer ganz hoch hinaus auf den #Teide möchte, kann dies mit der #Seilbahn machen! Allerdings dürfen Menschen mit #Behinderungen und auch ältere Menschen nicht mit der Seilbahn fahren. Das hat aber einfach nur den Grund, dass im Falle des Ausfalls alle Anwesenden den Berg runter wandern/klettern müssen. Macht Sinn - Safety first, oder? 😅

🇬🇧 On #Tenerife they offer a special service to help #disabled people get into the sea ^^ There are individual marked places where a wooden boardwalk is located and where staff is available, that joins you in the water. However, I must point out to you that the staff has certain times where they help. And it also depends on the crowds. If many people with a #handicap need help, then you have to queue accordingly 🙈

🇩🇪 Auch auf #Teneriffa kann man trotz Behinderung ins Meer ^^ Es gibt einzelne gekennzeichnete Orte, an denen ein Holzsteg ist und an denen dann auch Personal vorhanden ist, welches mit euch ins Wasser geht. Allerdings muss ich euch darauf hinweisen, dass das Personal bestimmte Zeiten hat, an denen sie helfen. Und es kommt auch auf den Andrang an. Wenn sehr viele Menschen mit Einschränkungen Hilfe brauchen, dann muss man dementsprechend anstehen 🙈
