How would that work? Well...for the ZDF (a german television channel) I was allowed to test exactly that - barrier-free camping! So I invite you to join me on a short camping trip in the #BlackForest 😊

🇬🇧 Wow - I can only repeat it - to #takeoff once is just so wonderful. I'm so glad there are providers like @flyinguide that make accessible paragliding possible! And also I'm glad that there are #travelagencies with employees who know and point out all the possibilities and activities for #disabled people 😊 It's really worth to check things out with a travel agencies ^^

🇩🇪 Wow - ich kann es nur wiederholen - einmal #abzuheben ist einfach wundervoll. Ich bin so froh, dass es Anbieter wie z. Bsp. die #flyinguide gibt, die barrierefreies Paragliden ermöglichen! Und auch bin ich froh, dass es #Reisebüros mit Mitarbeitern gibt, die die ganzen Möglichkeiten und Aktivitäten für #behinderte Menschen kennen und aufzeigen 😊 Es lohnt sich wirklich, sich bei den Reisebüros zu informieren ^^

🇬🇧 Well, now that took me awhile to post another photo 🙈 Sometimes life can just be very busy. In this photo I’m getting all secured. The very first time I went #paragliding I was seriously thinking of writing a goodbye-letter, in case I might crash. But then I was thinking: These people must be #flying everyday with #tourists like me, there is no reason to be afraid. And I was right, there was no reason to be afraid and I even ended up loving that experience. Stay tuned for more photos of me in the #air ^^

🇩🇪 So, jetzt hat es eine Weile gedauert, bis ich ein weiteres Foto gepostet habe 🙈 Manchmal sorgt das Leben für ganz viel Beschäftigung. Auf diesem Foto werde ich gerade gesichert. Als ich das erste Mal #Gleitschirmfliegen war, dachte ich ernsthaft daran, einen Abschiedsbrief zu schreiben, für den Fall, dass ich abstürzen sollte. Aber dann habe ich nachgedacht: Diese Leute müssen jeden Tag mit #Touristen wie mir #fliegen, es gibt keinen Grund, Angst zu haben. Und ich hatte Recht, es gab keinen Grund, denn am Ende habe ich diese Erfahrung sogar genossen. Bleibt gespannt auf mehr Fotos von mir in der #Luft ^^

🇬🇧 Now I would like to show you another #highlight of my Tenerife #trip - #paragliding ! On this island I heard about #accessible paragliding for the first time. I was sooo unsure if I should go for it or not, but I really wanted to take a chance...so I buckled down and signed up for it. And now I’m able to tell you about my experience with Flyinguide ^^ Let‘s start this photoseries, shall we? As you can see, the whole team was helping out as much as they can, carrying me and my wheelchair to the starting spot.

🇩🇪 Nun möchte ich euch ein anderes Highlight meiner Teneriffa #Reise zeigen - das #Gleitschirmfliegen ! Auf dieser Insel habe ich zum allerersten Mal davon gehört, dass es #barrierefreies Paragliden gibt. Ich war mir sooo unsicher, ob ich es wagen sollte, aber ich wollte unbedingt die Chance ergreifen…also habe ich mir einen Ruck gegeben und mich dafür angemeldet. Auf den kommenden Bildern werde ich euch von meiner Erfahrung mit #Flyinguide erzählen ^^ Wie ihr sehen könnt, war das gesamte Team super hilfsbereit, so haben sie mich und meinen #Rollstuhl zum Startpunkt getragen.

🇬🇧 Time for a selfie with the animals ^^ After we rode a few laps with the #camel, we were allowed to take photos and just talk with the animal owners. Did you know that camels can close their nostrils to keep out the dust and sand?^^

🇩🇪 Zeit für ein #Selfie mit den Tieren ^^ Nachdem wir einige Runden mit dem #Kamel geritten sind, durften wir anschließend noch Fotos machen und uns einfach mit den Tierhaltern unterhalten. Wusstet ihr, dass Kamele ihre Nasenlöcher schließen können, um Staub und Sand fernzuhalten?^^

🇬🇧 Here you can see my friend and how exactly one sits on the #Camel. Maybe you notice that the footrest hangs loosely down. Here‘s a funny story: In front of our camel walked another camel (probably the camel that leads) and as it is with animals, they defecated during the walk. Now guess who got a #spasticity (unwanted stretching of the legs) a little later in the legs and touched with the tip of her shoe the anus of the animal 🤣 At least the spasticity was not so strong, so I touched the butt only lightly and have not kicked the camel 🙈

🇩🇪 Hier könnt ihr bei meiner Freundin sehen, wie genau man auf dem #Kamel sitzt. Vielleicht fällt euch auf, dass die Fußstütze lose nach unten hängt. Hier hab ich eine lustige Geschichte: Vor unserem Kamel lief ein anderes Kamel (wahrscheinlich das Kamel das führt) und wie es nun mal bei Tieren ist, haben sie während des Spaziergangs gekotet. Nun ratet mal, wer etwas später eine #Spastik (ungewollte Streckung der Beine) in den Beinen bekommen hat und mit ihrem Schuh an den After des Tieres gekommen ist 🤣 Wenigstens war die Spastik nicht so stark, sodass ich den Hintern nur leicht berührt habe und das Kamel nicht gekickt habe 🙈

🇬🇧 So one thing I can tell you, these wooden seats on which you sit during the #camelriding.... they are really hard 🤣 If the #Camel moved, I moved accordingly but I would always come with my back against the wooden backrest. Now I do not know whether this was due to my instability, but that was not a pleasant feeling xD Well, for special experiences I will accept the back pain 😂 To those who have also been camelriding and also sat on a wooden chair, did you also have such problems?🙈

🇩🇪 Also eins kann ich euch sagen, diese Holzsitze auf denen man hockt und die Holzrückenlehne beim #Kamelreiten…. die sind verdammt hart 🤣 Wenn sich das #Kamel bewegt hat, habe ich mich entsprechend mitbewegt und bin mit meinem Rücken immer gegen die Holzrückenlehne gekommen. Ich weiß jetzt nicht ob das an meiner Instabilität lag, aber das war kein angenehmes Gefühl xD Nunja, für besondere Erlebnisse nehme ich die Rückenschmerzen gern in Kauf 😂 An diejenigen, die auch schon mal #Kamelreiten waren und ebenfalls auf #Holzstühlen saßen, hattet ihr auch solche Probleme? 🙈

🇬🇧 I always thought you would sit directly on the camel when #camel riding 🙈 This was not the case here at all, because we sat on these wooden seats (see first picture) - which were pretty hard for the back 🤣 In the second picture you can see the ramp that you run up to then get on the seat on the camel. Have you ever been camel riding?

🇩🇪 Ich dachte immer, man würde beim #Kamelreiten direkt auf dem Kamel sitzen 🙈 Dies war hier gar nicht der Fall, denn wir saßen auf diesen Holzsitzen (siehe erstes Bild) - die ziemlich hart für den Rücken waren 🤣 Im zweiten Bild könnt ihr die Rampe sehen, die man hochläuft um dann von dort aus in den Sitz auf dem #Kamel zu gelangen. Wart ihr schonmal Kamelreiten?
