Hello everyone =) My name is Simone and I welcome you to my wheelchair travel blog. It's all about trips and traveling in a wheelchair.

As you may have already discovered on the main page, I sit in a wheelchair. But it wasn't always like this...stupidly I suffered a stroke, which should turn my life completely upside down. But with the support of my family, friends and acquaintances, I was able to regain my zest for life. After the stroke, I thought that my life was completely over. I couldn't even walk anymore...and the fact that I was now in a wheelchair...how could I pursue my passion, traveling?

Over time, however, I was able to make small trips, I was even able to stay overnight with acquaintances and at some point I was in China in my wheelchair. That's when I realized that you can travel and have fun despite your disability. And that's exactly why I created this blog, it is meant to serve people (disabled as well as non-disabled, relatives, friends and otherwise all kinds of people) as a small orientation, how "traveling" with a wheelchair can be done and also to take away people's fear to travel in a wheelchair. Soo, and since there are enough people who do not want to read so much text, I will say my goodbyes here and hope to see you soon again on my page ^^

Oh, and why is my blog called "Plane-Spoken" now? Plane-Spoken is a play on words based on "plainspoken", because here on my blog I tell you "plainspoken" what challenges await me in my wheelchair =)
