It is weekend again and about time for a trip. So, we went for Interlaken. Interlaken is a city in….you guessed right, it is once again in Switzerland xD About the history of Interlaken: Interlaken was called Aarmühle until 1892 and was renamed to its present name. The city lies between two lakes, Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, and that is where its name comes from - it is derived from "Inter Lacus", Latin for "between the lakes".

On the way there we encountered a lake that shone in an unbelievably beautiful blue tone. It was the Lungernsee. The color of this lake took my breath away, it was simply beautiful. Of course we had to take a picture immediately! And I didn't miss the chance to take a picture while standing :D Of course I held on to my parents, because unfortunately I can't stand alone yet.

And on we went. It did not take long and we were in the center of Interlaken. Here we already ended up directly in the expensive shopping street. And when I say expensive, I mean sunglasses worth 4880 francs (!!!). So we limited ourselves to Windowshopping xD But every now and then there were shops with affordable prices xD

In Interlaken you also have a great view over the Jungfraujoch. What is the Jungfraujoch? "Joch" is a part of a mountain, the lowest section between two mountain peaks. Thus the (?) Jungfraujoch is a part of a mountain. You can even see the snow on it. Actually you have a great view everywhere, and so I just strolled along the streets with my parents. We came to a point with the perfect photo scene and took advantage of it right away. Here also quite many paragliders landed, we probably had hit the landing point. All the better for us, because we had something to observe.

Since we had no more plans, we slowly made our way back and left Switzerland in the evening.

Things I learned:

1) The Lungersee is an extremely beautiful lake
2) The view of the Jungfraujoch from Interlaken is very good
3) And here is the official homepage of the city https://www.interlaken.ch/ https://www.interlaken.ch/
